Vax-Ex Winning Photo Announced

16-02-2017

Following on from the 2016 photo of the month competitions, we decided to continue to run it during 2017.

The start of 2017 set a good stance with some impressive shots being sent in, however the winning photo for January was chosen due to the operative capturing the Sheltland sign whislt working on a project on the return to work following the annual closedown.

Capturing this image really does prove how far our operatives and macines are willing to travel.

Keep a close eye out for our machines and if you see one, why not post it on our facebook page to share with others?

Force One Ltd announce an impressive NEW addition

16-02-2017

Latest news to be released is of our NEW SUPER HIGH POWER QUAD FAN, MEGA BOOM, HIGH TIP 32 TONNE SUCTION EXCAVATOR

We are excited to announce this new specialist machine as part of our ever growing fleet, ideal for, but certainly not limited to, long distance excavation projects or working in areas where tipping and space can be an issue as this machine can tip straight into muck away trucks thereby eliminating site tipping and allowing our vehicle to keep working.

An example of this being a benefit is working in London on basement projects where space is always an issue.

This new machine is the only quad fan, high tip suction excavator of its size and power in the UK and indeed, from what the manufactures have said, is unmatched across their worldwide distribution network.

Specifically designed for Force One Ltd, this amazing machine has already successfully been operating in the UK on projects removing material over distance and more recently on a rail project where in excess of 50 tonnes of ballast was removed over a limited position two-night project.

We placed the order for this machine back in March 2016 and its design and manufacture resulted in a long wait but having received delivery, carried our working trials, it is now a working addition to our fleet and the wait has been worthwhile as the machine is proving a big hit with our customers.

The power and many features of this new machine really gives our customers greater flexibility when applying our suction excavation technology to projects they may be undertaking.

As a result, we have already received hire orders for more specialist works.

This is our new vac-ex machine and its available to hire NOW - Want to know more? ....... Of course you do!

CITB Test Centre Status Achieved

17-01-2017

As some of you may be aware there is a new CPCS category, A78 (A-F) Vacuum Excavation that is now a requirement to operate vacuum excavators.

"It is with great pleasure to announce Force One can now provide both
training and testing for this category to gain a CPCS Trained Operative Red Card"

Force One have a training centre with facilities to accommodate up to eight candidates at any one time and a tester available *subject to availability to cover the practical test assessing categories;

A: Trailer – Manual Arm

B: Trailer – Semi Powered Arm

C: Non-LGV (Manual)

D: Non LGV (Semi-Powered Arm)

E: LGV (Semi Powered Arm)

F: LGV (Fully Powered Arm)

My team worked extremely hard, having tester training, producing in-depth training course material, and of course getting the centre up and running and approved via CITB to provide the theory and practical testing on site at our premises in March, Cambridgeshire.

A massive well done to the team involved with the set-up from start to finish – we have now gained yet another service with-in the vacuum excavation industry.

Tester: Declan Burke & Candidate: Luke Riley

Our first Theory and Practical Assessment has taken place already with a positive result – Luke Riley, one of the first candidates to be tested at our site is now awaiting the arrival of his CPCS Trained Operative Card.

Force One will be offering vacuum excavator training for advanced, intermediate and beginners, should it be required with theory and practical assessment dates available to suit your diary. All bookings will be based on a first come, first served basis.

Our marketing team are currently working on a new website where booking information, download links and training information will be regularly updated, however in the meantime take a look at the Force One company website where you will find a wealth of information about vacuum excavation.

Should you wish to discuss our training opportunities, or if you are ready to sit your theory and undertake a practical assessment, please contact Lynsey on 01354 655441 to book your assessment dates.

Force One are one of only two centres in the UK that are currently able to offer this CPCS A78 assessment category and we anticipate a very busy time ahead of us.

Please note: You must allow at least two full working days’ notice to book a theory and practical assessment / Photo ID will be required (Driving Licence). Pre-training can be booked at anytime, however the duration of the course will depend on experience and requirements.

If you would like to discuss or find out further information about our vacuum excavation services, hire, training or assessments, please contact a member of the Force One Team via enquiries@forceonetld.co.uk / training@forceoneltd.co.uk / www.forceoneltd.co.uk / 01354 655441

Demonstration of Distance Suction Excavation

12-12-2016

Recent Suction Excavator Demonstration

Force One Ltd was one of the first UK companies to enter the Safe Dig suction excavation sector back in 2004 and over the years we have become established as a specialist in dealing with the more unusual projects including extracting material at distance.

Strangely we always seem to establish how far we can pull material as a result of having completed a project i.e. “we’ve just finished works where we removed material over a distance of 'X' metres This figure, over the years and with numerous projects has grown.

So when an opportunity arose to test our largest and most powerful triple fan vehicle in a non-works environment we jumped at the chance!

We decided to use a heavy ballast type material containing wet soil/mud/grit etc. in an attempt to recreate the types of material we normally encounter on site. Our objective was to establish just how far, in a reasonably straight line, our machine could pull this material.

For this demonstration we decided to use twin wall ducting as opposed to our dedicated re-enforced 250mm diameter flexi extension pipes. The twin wall allowed for easy to obtain low cost quantity purely for this demonstration.

We set out 226 meters of pipework connected our machine and when ready engaged the suction fans. Once an air flow was established we presented the ballast material to the pipe run and were very pleased to see the material being pulled through and back to our machine. What was even more encouraging was the level of suction power was such that we believed had we had more lengths of pipe we could have extended the distance possibly by another 40 to 60 meters.

So the result of our demonstration/test was that we established that our triple fan high power machine was more capable then we had believed and that depending on material type could pull material over distances of between 200 and 300 mtrs. Establishing this will allow greater confidence when evaluating future complex projects and talking with clients.

Hopefully you will find this information interesting and possibly even make you think of utilising suction technology on a project you are tackling? If this is the case or if you just want to know more contact our office and talk with Sean, our Business Development Manager who is always at hand to take your call. Sean has extensive knowledge of the industry, of the machinery and can visit you on site prior to making a booking, should you need advice about a project.

Learn more about suction excavation by visiting our YouTube page where we have an increasing number of video’s being added to the channel covering various projects where our suction excavator teams are working.

We keep everyone up to date with current affairs by posting on social media - Like our Facebook page or follow us on twitter to join in with our current projects, news and product updates.

Like a photo – we do! We share our images on Pinterest, flikr and Instagram and we have an extensive portfolio on our website too!
