Force One Update

Force One were contacted by a local contractor, to assist with a project to remove a sand layer to allow the pouring of concrete.

The project scope was to reduce the sand base by approximately 100mm over 1600 square meters.

After a quick site visit to help determine the best way to tackle the job, the following day we deployed a 4-fan suction excavator, electric remote nozzle, 50m extension hoses and a fully trained 3 man team.

After operatives were inducted to the site, the suction excavator was parked in position, extension hoses set up and excavation began.

All material (approximately 160m3) was removed within 2.5 shifts, all material was tipped outside the building where the contractor then arranged disposal.

Suction excavation was the chosen method due to reduction in manual input / handling, as a quick and effective solution and to ensure that an even depth was maintained throughout the dig.
