Re-ballasting switch

Over the bank holiday weekend, the Force One operatives were out in Kent re-ballasting around a switch. This job was completed within 2 shifts thanks to the powerful suction power of the Force One quad fan Suction Excavator.

As with previous jobs similar to this, the RN3 (adapted from the Brokk 400D) was utilised with its ability to remotely position the nozzle between the rail and sleepers with harnessing the suction power from the quad fan Suction Excavator. These two machines were linked together with up to 50m of extension hoses allowing the road based Suction Excavator to be parked in a suitable location.
