Showcasing our RRV

Henry Butt was the winner of Photo of the Month for February for this great picture of our new Road Rail Vehicle (RRV). Force One were part of a trial/testing week on behalf of S & C Alliance to showcase our technology and the capabilities of the RRV. Our Operatives showed how our modern technology was able to excavate the ballast under and around the switches in the rail down 300mm below the sleepers ready for re-ballasting. The RRV was using up to 50m of extension hose to reach the location of excavation with the Suction Excavator (road vehicle) being parked in a safe and suitable location nearby. The Operator carried out this task using the remote control feature on the RRV allowing them to position themselves in a safe working location giving them the optimal range of vision.

This image shows how the RRV is coupled to our 32 tonne Quad Fan, the most powerful Suction Excavator in the UK, by using 250mm diameter extension hose allowing the RRV to utilise the suction power from the Quad Fan over distances up to 120m.
